My name is Sadao Takamatsu. I was born in Osaka, Japan, and earned my undergraduate degree from a university in Japan. However, I later pursued higher education at Brigham Young University in Utah. Following my university graduation, I became a permanent resident in Orange County, California.
Hello, everyone. Thank you for your interest in the Japanese language.
I started learning English in Australia due to my fascination with foreign fashion, music, and cuisine during my student days. Thanks to that, I can now communicate at a basic level in English when traveling to any country, which has broadened my horizons. Having this additional communication tool has also changed my way of thinking.
Hello! My name is Kazuyo Ikeda, and I live in Tokyo. Right now, I'm living a carefree life, but after graduating from university, I used to teach piano. I used to be deeply involved in the world of electronic organs and traveled all over Japan performing, but that's now a thing of the past. My fingers no longer move much, but I still retain perfect pitch, although it doesn't come in handy much.

I worked in merchandise management for a large retail store during my time in the United States, where I resided for a total of 10 years. Upon returning to Japan, I settled in Tokyo and worked as an interpreter and translator.
I also have experience teaching English to Japanese individuals, and I find that the process of learning a language, whether it's English or Japanese, shares common principles. I take pleasure in teaching languages. While a strong foundation in grammar and an expanding vocabulary are vital for language learning, we also incorporate Japanese animation videos to make your learning experience as enjoyable as possible.
My favorite Japanese anime are:

Currently, I am a homemaker and spend a lot of time at home, so I try to stay updated on international events through television and the internet. Of course, I understand that the information obtained through these sources can be biased, so I always have the desire to see things firsthand by visiting the actual locations.
Since I have lived in Japan since childhood, I have always been exposed to anime and games. Even now, I continue to watch anime series like "Doraemon," "Dragon Ball," "Detective Conan," "Pokemon," and more, including recent ones like "Spy Family." The internet allows me to easily watch past anime series, which is quite convenient. As for games, I look forward to new releases of classics like "Super Mario," "Dragon Quest," and "Pokemon." Recently, I've been enjoying playing "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" casually.
Now, let me tell you about Osaka, where I live (it's the city where the World Expo will be held in 2025). Osaka's charming and friendly atmosphere has been attracting more and more foreign tourists over the past 20 years, making it increasingly international. Tourists can savor Osaka's soul food, such as "okonomiyaki" and "takoyaki," and explore many shopping spots. Places like Nintendo Osaka and Pokemon Center Osaka are particularly popular.
Moreover, Universal Studios Japan initially had many attractions from Hollywood, but recently, it has introduced original attractions based on Japanese anime, making it a hit among foreign tourists. I've personally visited the Mario attraction, and it was a lot of fun!
In online lessons, I conduct lessons tailored to each student's interests through Japanese language learning to give them a feeling of being in real Japan and to spark their interest in Japan. First, let's work together to improve "speaking," and then we'll also focus on "listening," "reading," and "writing."
Thank you very much, and I look forward to working with you!

After turning 30, I realized that a life dedicated solely to the piano, while wonderful, made me yearn to see the world. So, I traveled to about 70 countries. Visiting North Korea, Yemen, Iraq, and other countries that have become difficult to go to now are cherished memories. I even lived in Finland for about three years.
Upon returning to Japan, I started working in the inbound tourism industry, providing assistance and guidance to visitors. Occasionally, I've also accompanied stars from Hollywood. Nevertheless, I'm quite the otaku. I love spending my time at home watching anime. I have many favorite anime and manga series, including classics like Fullmetal Alchemist and Hunter x Hunter, as well as recent ones like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Haikyuu!!, and I also enjoy Studio Ghibli films. Manga is a treasure trove of knowledge I don't know, and knowing about Japanese culture makes the enjoyment even greater.
